    The Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 7, 1992, "On the Establishment of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan." The Committee is a state governance body authorized to address tasks in the field of ensuring each individual's right to freedom of conscience and religious belief, ensuring equality of citizens regardless of their attitude towards religion, and regulating relations associated with the activities of religious organizations.
